We envision a world where education inspires action.

Dear MTS Community,

It is with great pleasure that Tammy and I share the Annual Report for the 2022-2023 academic year. The year was a huge success and truly exemplified the chosen theme of “Better Together.” Together, our students and teachers brought our mission to life – at MTS, Learning is Revered, and Education is Joyful. Together, our parents and fans cheered on our students on the fields, the courts, and the stage. Together, we rebuilt a stronger, more diverse, better-connected community at events such as the Big Night Out. MTS 2022-23 was indeed Better Together.

This Annual Report documents all the various community members central to our collective support of Mount Tamalpais School. Once again the report leads with a list of all of our remarkable professional community members: our teachers, faculty, and staff. They are the leaders who truly bring our students and families together. From inspiring future mathematicians to sending MTS 1 each Thursday to making sure our students are happy and engaged on the blacktop, every MTS professional community member was critical to our success. Thank you, ProComm, for making us Better Together.

We also highlight and thank the tremendous volunteer leaders who gave their time, talent, and devotion to MTS. Whether it was shelving books, serving hot lunch, sharing your cultural story, or chaperoning field trips, every volunteer hour made a positive impact on the MTS experience. Deep gratitude also goes to the chairs of Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Big Night Out, and Graduation Day that brought the entire MTS community together in much-needed and deeply appreciated moments of sharing, fun, and celebration. Thank you for all you did to make MTS Better Together.

Notably, for a second year, our MTS community came together to raise over $1M for our Annual Fund. These charitable donations are what allow MTS to grow and thrive. We are undoubtedly better thanks to your generous, near-universal philanthropic support. These raised funds not only reflect our community’s dedication to making MTS Better Together in the past year but also show the promise needed in the years to come.

Finally, the Board and school leadership continue to collaborate to ensure the long-term success of MTS. Using the Into Action strategic plan as a roadmap, we secured a much-needed change to our County permit that will allow us to grow our student body and campus, thereby better realizing the long-term potential of MTS.

While our theme has changed this year, the spirit of Better Together lives on today. We sincerely thank you for all the contributions you made to MTS last year, the years before, and the years to come.
